Wrong shit I’ve said about some short stories

I was completely embarrassed when I pulled out my copy of Oblivion right now to find that “Incarnations of Burned Children” was published in that volume and I’d just completely forgotten about it. It was only published online for the first time in April on Esquire’s site. I was a less sensitive person when I read that book I guess, and also honestly it’s not his best story.

I also went and reread “Tedford and the Megalodon” after calling it great here. It’s not great, I don’t know why I remember it being so great, except that it does involve a megalodon. It’s kind of slow and disjointed for the most part. Maybe I was just overeager for the megalodon to show up.
